Our power systems engineers have been developing analysis tools for assessing G5/5 harmonic compliance. Under ER G5/5, grid harmonic impedance data is typically provided in the form of impedance loci envelopes for different harmonic groups.
Our new tools enable us to visualise the harmonic compliance within the network impedance loci. This helps our clients to better understand which network conditions result in harmonic non-compliance, which enables them to make better decisions regarding mitigation solutions. In the example below, non-compliance was seen broadly throughout the impedance loci and so a harmonic filter was designed to bring the plant into compliance.
At Blake Clough Consulting we focus on client satisfaction, and always strive to deliver the highest quality work in a timely manner.
