CMP316 Changes Could Add Millions to Your Annual TNUoS Charges Starting Next Year
At Blake Clough Consulting, we understand that grid connection costs can make or break a project’s financial viability. One key factor is the Transmission Network Use of System (TNUoS) charges, which can fluctuate based on location and demand. The proposed CMP316 modification could lead to significant increases in these charges for co-located sites, particularly those with solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS).Under CMP316, both solar/wind generation and BESS would be charged separately, a shift that could raise annual costs by millions. With this change set to take effect in April 2025, our TNUoS assessment service helps developers forecast and navigate potential cost impacts, safeguarding project success.
