Company Trip To Barcelona

Our Blake Clough UK team has just returned from an amazing team trip to Barcelona! We enjoyed informal presentations on a range of topics, from company growth and strategy, as well as tips for effective line-management, to information on technical areas such as SSO, LT29, LDES and CP2030.

The team enjoyed a variety of activities which included a scavenger hunt, a trip up the Montserrat mountain range and monastery, various museums and bars. It was a great opportunity to spend some time together as a team, and for those from the various UK offices (especially our newer recruits) to get to know each other better.

NEW  |  Energy Yield Assessment

Renewable energy projects depend on clear and robust estimates of long-term generation potential. The energy yield assessment is central to this. It defines the expected annual energy production of a project and underpins business case modelling, funding applications, insurance coverage, and shareholder returns.

Solar & Storage Exhibition

We had another great show at Solar & Storage in Birmingham this year. Many clients had heard of our services and it was clear that our reputation had grown strongly within the last 12 months.

It was very busy again, and the team enjoyed networking and meeting many of our clients in person.

We are booked on again for next year!

Power Systems Support For LT29

The National Energy System Operator (NESO) has launched its Y-4 Long Term Tender, presenting a significant revenue opportunity for developers looking to make the most from their connection, such as BESS sites exploring conversion to grid-forming capability. Let us support your journey through the tender

SSO Presentation at Offshore Renewable Energy 4.0

We recently presented on SSO (Sub-Synchronous Oscillation) studies at Offshore Renewable Energy 4.0, the requirements for these studies and our capabilities to deliver them at them.

We have carried out many of these studies for our clients, and have an excellent understanding and track record of efficient delivery.

Innovation Project with Kiwa

Kiwa Energy and Blake Clough Consulting are delighted to have been awarded an Ofgem-funded NIA (Network Innovation Allowance) project with Cadent Gas Limited and Wales & West Utilities.

The project will investigate the relative suitability of electrification and/or hydrogen decarbonisation options for non-domestic buildings. It will focus on technical suitability, economic assessment and practicalities.

Power Systems for Data Centres

Data centres are rapidly emerging as one of the most power-intensive infrastructure types in today’s energy system. Driven by the growth of cloud computing, AI, and hyperscale platforms, their expansion across the UK and Europe demands 30–100 MW per site, creating significant technical and regulatory challenges for developers, utilities, and grid operators.
